How to Choose a Reward for a Shopper Action
Set affordable rewards for follows, sign-ups, referrals and cart goals, then review what shoppers actually do.
There is no universal price for a follow or a sign-up. The right reward depends on your product margins, what you hope to learn or encourage, and how the action is checked.
Start with one action and an amount you can afford. You can change it after reviewing your own results.
Know what the reward records
A social follow reward records the shopper’s confirmation. Symbiotic does not verify the follow. An email reward records the submitted address and consent wording, without proving ownership of the address.
Questions record answers. Cart goals are checked at checkout. Optional review and Discord connections can add confirmation from those services.
These are different outcomes, so there is no reason to value them all equally.
Use defaults as a starting point
The app provides editable reward amounts. They help you set up an example; they are not a prediction of what a follow, review or sign-up is worth to your store.
For reviews, ask for an honest account of a real experience and check the review service’s rules before offering an incentive. Do not make a reward depend on a positive rating.
Check the combined discount
For a $100 product, a 3% action reward is $3. Several action rewards can add up, so set a total campaign limit and review it alongside the negotiation discount.
Cart offers use separate settings. If several order discounts qualify, only the largest applies. Product minimum selling prices can also restrict rewards.
Review results before expanding
Look at recorded actions, confirmed completions, referred orders and total discounts. A claimed reward alone does not prove that the campaign created an extra sale.
