How Symbiotic Handles Social Follow Rewards
Social follows rely on shopper confirmation. Learn how that differs from answers, cart checks and connected-service confirmations.
A shopper opens your Instagram page, returns to your store and taps “I did it”. Symbiotic records that confirmation. It does not establish that the shopper followed the account.
We make that distinction clear in the chat because it affects how you should price the reward.
What shopper confirmation means
Social follow and like rewards rely on the shopper’s word. A click on a link shows that they opened it, not what they did afterwards.
Choose an amount you are comfortable granting with that limitation. If an unverified confirmation is not useful to your store, choose another type of action.
Other actions have different checks
A question records the answer the shopper submits. It confirms that an answer was received, not that the answer is true.
Cart goals are checked against the cart at checkout. Supported review and Discord actions can receive confirmation through optional integrations. Those integrations add evidence after a reward is claimed; they do not hold up the shopper’s discount while waiting for a response.
The dashboard separates these types of confirmation so they can be assessed on their own terms.
Limit the total reward
Set each action’s reward and the campaign’s total extra reward limit. Review that limit together with the negotiation discount before making the campaign active.
