How Symbiotic Responds to a Price Offer

A shopper offers $80 for a $100 product. Your maximum negotiation discount is 10%, so $90 is the lowest negotiated price you allow. Symbiotic can respond with a counteroffer at or above $90. It cannot accept $80 just because the shopper asks again.

Start with your limits

Choose the maximum discount and the number of offers a shopper can make. Four offers is the default. You can allow between one and ten.

Next, choose a bargaining style. Holds firm keeps early offers closer to the original price. Balanced offers discounts gradually. Meets you halfway and Eager offer more of the available discount earlier.

These settings influence the conversation, but they do not guarantee that every shopper reaches the lowest allowed price.

Respond to the shopper’s movement

After the first offer, Symbiotic considers how much the shopper raises their price. Repeating the same offer does not automatically earn a larger discount. Counteroffers also do not increase during the conversation.

You can add small price variations in the campaign settings. That means two separate negotiations need not produce identical prices, even though both follow the same rules and limits.

Keep messages separate from prices

AI can help draft the greeting and other messages during setup. You review and save those messages. During a negotiation, the saved pricing rules decide the amounts.

This separation lets you change the chat’s tone without changing the discount a shopper can receive.

Review extra rewards separately

Action rewards can reduce an agreed price further. Set their total limit separately, then review the largest possible discount before making the campaign active. Any minimum selling price for the product still applies.
